best of what was available

i needed a smallish drawing board to put on my table, thus leaving space for pencils or paints.

this 18x14 board was the best i could find of its type and size, and i looked at many boards before choosing this one,

my only issue is it is so light weight it moves as i draw on it. i haven't resolved the problem, maybe i'll tape it in place. otherwise it tilts to various angles and is a good size for most of my work.

love the large size

It's great for holding two pieces of paper side-by-side (in portrait orientation), which I find useful when taking notes. Sturdy enough to have propped up and take notes on papers too.
