The surface texture provides a very definite paint-gripping "tooth" with minimum paint absorption, a perfect support for painting in all media. Have purchased this same product; size, count & complete description match others yet THIS U.S.Art Supply quality is far better as the canvas used is a finer, higher quality AND on others the boards tend to bow and/or warp with time, some in very short-time spans. These, you get what you pay for, AND WANT !
